This week, within the library community, librarians all over the country are celebrating Teen Tech Week. Sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association, it is aimed at teens, their parents, educators, and concerned adults.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is less than a month away. Are you ready for April 2015? The SAAM 2015 campaign is all about campus sexual violence prevention. It’s a call to action to create safer campuses and brighter futures for all.  Everyone has a role to play in creating change.

Did you know it’s National Eating Disorder Awareness Week? It’s never too late to show your support for #NEDAwareness.

Have you ever read a book that made you cry or that you found yourself thinking of years later? Maybe it’s the librarian in me, but a good book takes me to a place that no television show ever could. I find myself dreaming of the characters and fighting the battles they have fought. I am very much an advocate working toward a world free of sexual violence.
