Dear Engaged Bystander, There is a new series on National Public Radio about sexual assault on college campuses.  It is a great series and worth listening to if you have a moment.

The story today talks the problem of risk reduction strategies that put the responsibility of prevention and also the blame of sexual violence on women.

They point to the Univeristy of New Hampshire program "Bringing in the Bystanders" about engaging bystanders in sexual violence prevention and point to the fact that this approach put responsbility of prevention on both men AND women.

It was great to be driving this morning and hear Scott Simon on the radio asking the questions that I wish everyone would ask.  At least this one media venue captured the issue in a way we always wish for!
warmly,
